The story is very simple. In a distant, dystopian future, dangerous murderers and other criminals are exiled to a prison planet and left there to fend for themselves for the rest of their lives. The militaristic government monitors the planet to make sure that no one escapes, but otherwise does not attempt to oversee or regulate the lives of the prisoners. As a result, the planet has developed a brutal and violent prison culture, in which prisoners gather into gangs based on ethnic divides, and what little semblance of order or law enforcement there is comes only from these armed bands. The planet itself has a harsh and hostile environment, a no man's land full of giant insects and wild animals.
The protagonists of the game are four military cadets who are sent to the planet by the government on a secret mission to uncover and stop a plot by the prisoners to build a spaceship and escape the planet. However, the mission goes awry, the cadets are separated immediately on arrival, and the main character is captured by thugs and forced to work at a munitions factory. Your task is to find a way to escape the factory camp, make your way to town, find your fellow cadets, and finally, complete the mission.
